Meet Absolutely Fabulous Woman, Cathy Holden Robinson, author of, “The House of Roses”:

Cathy Holden Robinson, who publishes under the name Holden Robinson, rewrote her life, and turned tragedy into triumph after the death of her father in 2006.  Holden rediscovered her love of, and passion for writing, and embarked on the journey to create a novel, a work of "real fiction" filled with believable characters facing true-to-life issues that we, as humans, face each day.  Holden's debut novel, The House of Roses, was released in July of this year by Black Rose Writing.  Holden is embarking on a book tour, and hopes to meet readers of all ages, and inspire them to rekindle the spark of their dreams, embrace what it is they have passion for, and live their best lives at any age.  Cathy resides in upstate New York, is committed to animal rights, and shares her life with a family of rescue animals.

The Story:

The House of Roses follows failed novelist, Caitlin Goodrich, and Pediatrician, Dr. Colin Thomas, as they take parallel journeys of self-discovery, and fight to reconnect with one another and rekindle the love they once shared.  Caitlin Goodrich must return to her childhood home to uncover the secrets shared by two mothers, and only when the truth is revealed, can she be free to embrace the simply joy of life, and brave enough to share a secret of her own.  Dr. Colin Thomas must take a courageous trip to the city of Spokane, Washington, to say goodbye to the parents he once lost, and forgive the small dog he blames for their deaths.  Only when he makes peace with a cruel act of fate, can he become the man he is meant to be and the father to an orphaned child.  The House of Roses is an amazing story that celebrates the freedom of the truth, the beauty of friendship, the strength of family, and the unbreakable bonds of true love.
