Are YOU Happy?
Are YOU Happy?
It’s only up to YOU … HAPPINESS! It’s YOUR choice to be happy.
Life does throw us some problems – adversity that we have to process and get through to resolving it. The key is how we look at the problem and what we do with it that matters.
You may think, “It’s not so easy. MY problems are tremendous and huge and I don’t see any way out.” It may be that you do have many tremendous problems, but do you think you are the only one who has traveled this road? You certainly are not alone. Instead of focusing on your problems, by putting blame on others for your problems, why not take a leap of faith, try to change your thinking to the positive and trust that things will eventually work out?
The more energy you put to focusing on the problems you may have, the more those problems will take over your life. You give energy to those problems. Sometimes we perceive a situation as a problem and we begin to think up and fantasize a whole scenario of what may be happening, only to find out that the truth and what we have perceived the truth to be are two different things.
Instead of focusing on the bad things (or your perception of the bad things), try to focus on the good things. What thoughts make you feel happy? By putting your focus on happier thoughts, even just for minutes, you are aiding your subconscious to trigger better feelings and emotions of all that is good vs. all that may be bad.
You may voice the argument that by not focusing on a problem, you may be putting your head in the sand or you may be living in denial. You may even feel guilty if you allow yourself to feel happy when you are facing adversity. That is certainly not the case and here is why:
By changing your focus away and disconnecting from the problem and focusing on positive thoughts, you are allowing your subconscious to move away from the “problems”. By taking the negative energy away, your feelings begin to change.
You mind or your subconscious will begin to open itself up into calmer more peaceful and yes, happier feelings. When this happens, you begin to look at your current situation in a different light. You begin to see solutions to your problems in a calmer realm. The focus of your problems has changed from “problems” to “inspired action”. Your problems will begin to dissolve because you are able to take calmer, more inspired steps to the resolution of those problems. It takes the time that you give yourself to focus on the positive and it takes repetition.
One thing so many people get caught up on is the need to be in control of a situation or in control of loved ones. By trying to change another’s thoughts or actions or by trying to be in control of a situation that is beyond your control, it is more or less like beating your head against a brick wall. As you know, your thoughts and your actions are your own, therefore, you cannot think and act for other people and you cannot project your feelings onto someone else without making yourself unhappy. You may try to rationalize or feel justified, but all you are doing is allowing yourself to be unhappy.
Your feelings are yours and yes, it’s up to you (and only you) to change them. Try putting your fears aside and trust in the fact that things will work out as they should. You must begin to give up any need to be in control of a situation. You cannot expect anyone else to make you happy.
I AM happy. Are YOU happy? It is only up to you – happiness! It’s your choice.
