Creating a
Sanctuary within our Hearts
As we strive to be fully open and recognize that every event in our lives is purposeful, and that every event belongs to a higher spiritual plan than we can presently recall or fully comprehend, we can begin to look more deeply for the meaning that now seems to elude us.
The real miracles lie within the spiritual purpose behind each event, NOT in the outer event itself. We can expand upon our experiences by choosing to accept, trust, and move beyond the self imposed limitations that come with feelings of punishment, betrayal and victimhood. In every situation, we can go to that self-created sanctuary within our heart and ask: "Why is this appearing in my life? What is the meaning of this?"
Miracles ask us to move beyond and break through the limits of our own minds. They challenge our world view and urge us to release any limiting perceptions and past interpretations of life so that we can actually see the possibilities that lie beyond those self-created walls. It is strange how tragedy can sometimes turn into an unanticipated blessing. Sometimes the most challenging times in our lives can awaken us to a grander purpose in our lifetime. Sometimes what appears to be taken away is the greatest gift because it calls us forward and out of our shell and into our life's purpose.
If we really want to feel peace in our lives, we must choose to continually re-create and re-visit that sanctuary of purity and love within our hearts. This is where we will discover the true miracles. The more deeply we look into the inner workings of our experiences, the more signs we will receive. These signs will remind us of the divine work and wisdom underlying every situation and challenge.
Every single experience that we have can be raised and lifted up through the immense power of unconditional love and acceptance. The outside world inevitably reflects back to us the fruits of our thoughts and actions. Peace can be found within our hearts when our hearts are open. Miracles appear when we consciously shift from fear to love, from self-protection to self-expansion, and from judgment of others and ourselves into acceptance.
