Giusi Mastro is fluent in the traditions, richness, and daring of Italian architecture and design. She received her degree in architecture at the University of Florence, where she taught interior design from 1986 through 1994.

Working from an abundant palette, Mastro moves easily between periods and styles, with inspired designs for living, working, and hospitality. She is a master of transformation, reinventing spaces and turning visions into the realities of volume, line, texture and color.

As a founding member of Italy’s Bolidismo movement, Mastro has achieved international recognition for her architecture, interiors, and industrial design. Her original designs are produced by Italy’s leading manufacturers. Mastro’s work is exhibited and collected by galleries and museums throughout the world.

ORA studio was founded in New York in 2001 by Italian architect/designer Giusi Mastro and associates, with the mission of challenging the boundaries of design in architecture. ORA specializes in contemporary high-end interiors, space planning, lighting design, and product design for both residential and commercial projects.

A design-driven practice and full-service studio, ORA’s work is defined by attention to detail from planning to completion, ensuring construction results through close site supervision.

The projects on ORA’s site reflect a vital creative process: the synergy of client, designer, challenges, and solutions. Each tells its own distinctive story.
