Let's Have Some Fun!
Let’s Have Some Fun!
The other day I took a field trip in my own town where I live. Well, it happens to be Las Vegas, but I think that no matter where we live, we tend to take for granted all the fun things that are part of our surroundings. We get busy with our lives and get into a comfortable routine. We know the natural or man-made beauty that surrounds us will always be there for when we do “have the time” to enjoy them.
Why not “have the time” daily to include a little fun and bring joy into your life? Part of letting our dreams become a reality and being in vibrational sync to the life we want to live is to allow joy into our lives – whether we allow the joy in moments or for an entire day. Allow yourself to live in the moment and not put off tomorrow the joy that is within you.
There are many ways to bring joy and fun into your life. A friend gave me the idea of taking the field trips. Here I live in one of the most traveled vacation spots in the United States and I really have not made the time to enjoy this fun city. Not only does the Las Vegas strip offer endless things to do and entertainment, but I am surround by natural beauty and can visit Red Rock, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Mt. Charleston and Valley of Fire anytime I like. I am going to try to take field trips once a week, however, I am definitely going to allow joy into my life daily with the little things that are often overlooked. As I am writing this, I hear the tinkling of the wind chimes on the patio. What a joyful sound it is! I wrote about “Taking the Time to Smell the Roses”, but why not really take the time to smell the roses? What is it that brings you joy? What do you like to do that is fun? What makes you laugh?
You may say to yourself, “Well that’s all great, but I don’t live near a fun city like Las Vegas or near the mountains or oceans or lakes or any of the “fun” things – that all has to wait for vacation…” Why wait? You can enjoy your natural surrounding beauty – the beauty of a sunrise or sunset, a full moon, the farmer’s fields, the landscape. Really look at your surroundings with new eyes and a new heart and allow joy to fill your soul. If you have young children, watch them having fun and join them! Another friend is taking a yo-yo class with her son. When was the last time you played with a yo-yo? Maybe playing with a yo-yo is not your thing, but there is something out there that will fill your soul with joy and laughter. It doesn’t have to be difficult. It is out there. It is within you. Allow joy, fun and laughter into your life daily.
As Abraham-Hicks says (excerpted from the quote below): “Life is supposed to be fun….you cannot struggle to joy.”
“Life is supposed to be fun. You said, "I'll go forth and choose. I'll look at the data, and I'll say, yes to this, and yes to this, and yes to this, and I'll paint a picture of the things that I want, and I'll vibrate about them, because that's what I'm giving my attention to. And the Universe will respond to my vibration. And then I'll stand in a new place where a whole new batch of yeses are available, and I'll say yes to this, and yes to this, and yes to this." You did not say, "I'll go forth and struggle into joy", because from your Nonphysical Perspective you know it is vibrationally not possible. You cannot struggle to joy. Struggle and joy are not on the same channel. You joy your way to joy. You laugh your way to success. It is through your joy that good things come.” Abraham-Hicks – August 2, 1998
So, let’s have some fun!
Please enjoy some of the photos I had taken of my “Viva Las Vegas Field Trip” last week. I acted like a tourist, didn’t cost a thing and I had a blast. I like to look at the interior design, architecture and floral arrangements at the casinos and that is what the photos are mostly of – it allows joy and creativity into my life! (Note to self: Next time don’t wear heels!)
