Perspective: What is the Truth?
This
past weekend I took a “kind of” mini vacation and spent some time in the pool –
floating! As I was leisurely thinking about the future and projecting positive
vibrational thoughts, the float was taking me from end to end along the pool,
across one way and then the other and at times in a circle. As I gazed up at
the sun, I noticed it would “seem” to move position. Okay, I do know it was my
float and the water moving me around as the sun didn’t move that fast, but it
occurred to me that the way people look at things are but a matter of
perspective of where they happen to be standing (or in my case floating –
‘smile’).
In
this big beautiful world, we all have a particular perspective of things
because of where we are standing, what our position in life is and our individual
experiences. As we look up at the sky and
see the sun, the moon, the stars or clouds, we may perceive them to be in a
different place in the sky because we are standing in a different place from
someone else. For instance when looking up, the moon may seem a little further
west to one person and someone else standing in a different place would think
it was a little further east. But what is the ultimate truth? We believe our
perspective is the ultimate truth, but don’t you think there is so much more than
this because someone else’s belief of the ultimate truth is based on their own
perspective which is way different than our own? Who is right and who is wrong?
The
point is, sky aside, each of our particular perspectives is viewed at the place
where we are standing. When we hear other people’s opinions, it is their
perspective of their experiences and where they happen to be standing. This may
not necessarily be a truth for everyone, but it is for them individually (or so
they think).
When
we see things with our very own eyes, it is our perspective of what we see and
believe as truth but this is not the truth of what actually is.
Our
lives are lived by our own sense of perspective – whether we live in the United
States, Africa, Italy, Russia or anywhere we go through life by what we see,
what we hear, what we think, what we decide, what we learn and where we live
because it is our perspective of where we are standing.
So
what would happen if we decided to open up our hearts and our minds to the real
truth that there is so much more than what we can see, what we hear, what we
think, what we decide, what we learn and where we live?
As
simple as viewing the sun from a different standing point, the real truth is
beyond our own perspective of what we are actually seeing, hearing and thinking.
What
if we changed our perspective – our own powerful vibrational thoughts in order
to begin to believe in the human race again? What if we changed our hearts to
walk with a spirit of love daily? What if we believed in ourselves again and
moved past “perceived” fears to take the steps to follow the path of our
dreams? What if we changed our perspective from anger to peacefulness; from sadness
to happiness; from tears to laughter; from hatred to love; from holding a
grudge to forgiveness? This list can go on and on.
I
believe many wonderful things could happen if we changed our perspective of
where we are standing today – this very moment, by shifting our own powerful vibrational
thoughts to what our soul knows already way deep down inside.
Let’s
begin to change our perspective and open up our hearts, minds and souls by
moving to another place from where we are currently standing. Shift into true
enlightenment by acknowledging the REAL, ULTIMATE TRUTHS in order to live the
life we were all meant to live!
