It’s Not About Putting Your Head in the Sand

Have you ever stopped to really think about what you are thinking about? What happens when your thoughts are focused on the negative? The negative thoughts begin to take on a life of their own, spinning out of control. In today’s world, so much negativity is being fed to us through the news media and people. There are certain real facts about the economy, our personal health and well being, our jobs, the planet and our loved ones. But the only real facts we need to dwell on are the positive aspects to the solutions to the problems instead of the actual negative problems.

This is not about putting your head in the sand. It’s about finding resolve to the negativity by focusing on the positivity of the solutions. You do have control of your thoughts and how you think.

Begin by talking less about the negativity and what is going wrong in life and begin to talk more of what is going right in your life. Be grateful for your many blessings and the good things that surround you. Try to do things that make you happy or feel good to distract yourself from the things that are making you feel bad.  Be satisfied of what is in your life at the moment and make the best of it. Satisfaction relieves you of the negative stress and opens the way to all that is good.

By taking a few moments every day to think about the good things, focus on your many blessings and to feel satisfied of what is, the negative energy is not fueled. The positive energy begins to take form and expand and the positive solutions to those problems begin to take the forefront.

Remember, what you are thinking is exactly what you are attracting to you.  You are the creator of your own reality. This is not ignoring your problems or wishing they would go away. This is not about putting your head in the sand. It’s all about focusing on the positive and taking inspired action to the solutions.

“Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities – always see them for they’re always there.” ~ Norman Vincent Peale
