Tapping
Into The Goldmine Of Goal Setting
We all say that we want abundance, wealth, and prosperity,
but what are we actually doing to create and allow for the manifestation of
these powerful and beautiful gifts that are our birthright? What most of us have
consistently done is to drift, to just get by. We fall into jobs we feel
passion-less about. We accept our current unfulfilling lifestyle. We become
resigned to a life of struggling to make ends meet. We watch as things happen
to us. As a result, it's no surprise that we experience such high levels of
dissatisfaction by living on auto pilot in this manner and forfeiting our right
to create our lives on purpose, with purpose, and positive intentions.
Actualizing our dreams and achieving our goals requires
focus, clear direction, and empowered effort. It involves establishing
effective habits that result in successful outcomes. The definition of insanity
is repeating the same behavior and patterns and expecting a different result.
Are you ready to shift into a world conscious living and soul-full sanity?
The first step to changing old, limiting habits of drifting
or remaining stagnant is really quite simple: Get out a pen, a pencil, a magic
marker, a crayon, anything -- or just turn on your computer and open up a new
word document and being to type! Write down or type out your goals. Clearly
define the things you most deeply desire. Then, establish the steps you need to
acquire what you desire.
Does writing down your goals really make that much of a
difference? In one word -- YES!
When studying the influence of goal-setting, researchers
have found that only 3% of the population writes down their goals. Are you one
of the individuals in the 3% or are you in the 97% category? The motivated
minority those who made a practice of goal-setting were wealthier and more
successful than the rest of the 97%. Clearly, success lies in joining that 3%
and actively designing our lives purposefully, deliberately, and passionately.
Why should you even bother with setting goals?
Goals are the roadmap of dreams specific action plans for
achieving the success you want. Create your own yellow brick road and take the
first step by sitting down and getting real clear about what you really want
you life to look like. Most people don't spend a lot of time setting goals
because it feels like a waste of time. They think, "Why not just get
going?"
We’ve all traveled without directions. For instance, say
you want to try to find a restaurant you’ve heard your friends raving about. You
know the general area of the city in which it's located, you know which street
it is near, but you don't know the exact address. You might find the place with
no trouble, but more than likely, you end up driving around -- and around
getting close, perhaps even getting lost. You may happen to bump into the place
after riding in circles and wasting your time, wasting gas, and testing your
patience. You may need to stop and ask for directions. If your search is
frustrating enough, you may even decide to eat somewhere or go home. What's the
point I'm getting at? Poor planning can easily result in disappointing
outcomes. The bottom line is that we can afford to wing it when it comes to
whims. Dreams are another matter! They are important enough to warrant a roadmap,
wouldn't you say? They require clear goal-setting and a commitment to daily
action steps that pave the way for the success we desire.
When we choose to concentrate our energy, direct our focus
like a laser beam towards the manifestation of our dreams, and decide to make
the invisible visible, we will set ourselves on the fast track to living a life
of joy, fulfillment, and phenomenal success. I speak from personal experience
when I tell you that setting goals was and continues to be a necessary component
to my success. Without clearly establishing my goal to run my own companies,
become a bestselling author, publish five books, become a broadcaster, a radio
show host, and taking daily action steps toward those goals, I wouldn't have
made that a reality for myself. I continue to create new, grander, more
detailed goals, dreams, and visions once I manifest the ones I previously set
for myself.
I choose to think bigger, dream larger, and expect grander
results from my efforts. Is this pattern worthwhile? ABSOLUTELY! I feel more
fulfilled than I ever have in my life because I've discovered firsthand that I
have the absolute, ever-present option and potential to create my life in
whatever way I want it to be. It's a very empowering way to live, and I encourage
you to try it. I always say, you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
Tap into that limitless goldmine of wealth that you
deserve. Begin right now by setting some new, passion-filled goals for yourself
that fill you with enthusiasm and make you feel alive again! Take that first
step. Commit to creating a successful, fulfilling life for yourself. Your
spirit will shine like never before as you tap into your full potential and
awaken to the reason you're alive. I'll leave you with this, CARPE MOMENTO!
