Tickled Pink
“If I were your Guardian Angel, you know what I’d do each day? I’d tickle
you until you fell to the floor and begged for mercy –to remind you not to take
life so seriously”
-My Spiritual Mentor, Jerry Thomas
At the time, when my spiritual mentor mentioned that I essentially needed a
‘tickle coach’ each day – I didn’t realize the importance of what he had said.
But recently, I see what an essential role not only laughter plays in your
overall well-being, but what an essential role that full-out belly laughter
plays in your well-being and peace of mind.
Do you remember when you were in school and had the giggles – and did
everything to try to make yourself stop – but you couldn’t stop laughing? When
was the last time you had a case of the giggles? The type of laughs where no
matter how hard you tried to stop, you just couldn’t?
I’ve written about this subject before and feel it is an important reminder,
especially for these times that we’re in --where there is so much concern about
our financial future – and things can feel a bit doom and gloom.
Do you find yourself taking life really seriously?
If you’re hard-working and have loads of responsibilities – both at home and at
work – I can imagine that you need to right? Of course, without a doubt.
Yet, in the midst of all that responsibility – all those ‘to-do’s, it’s
imperative to laugh – and again – not just chuckle – but having uncontrollable
laughter.
