Waves

“Put all excuses aside and remember this: YOU are capable.”  ~ Zig Ziglar

Riding “waves” are not so easy at times, particularly if when riding you are facing difficulties or rejection in your life. Feelings of pain and despair, loss, loneliness, overwhelm, failure, fears, and disappointments begin to take hold as those waves crash into the shore. During those times, it feels as though the blood flowing through your veins is dark and heavy, so much so it is hard to move forward. You may feel stuck and cannot get the replay out of your mind of the events that lead to the difficulties in life you are facing. Fruitlessly, you wish to change history to make things better for today.

The crashing to the shore seems to happen more often than riding the crest of the wave. The gloomy feelings continue to take over and become more predominant. It’s hard to be positive and accepting when in the midst of facing difficulties or rejection.

But then the ebb of hope and divine love fills your being as you begin to again ride the crest of the wave. Fleeting moments of courage and acceptance and understanding of what is fills your soul. You are riding on the crest of the wave and you begin to function and have hope for the future.

Then that darn wave still crashes to the shore. Those feelings are not as bad as the beginning moments of the difficulties and the first crash. You know that you have ridden the crest and there is still that glimmer of hope you grasp on to. You have been here before.

You ride the crest once again. You start to face and accept what is. You begin to feel courageous and a sense of freedom. You begin to take steps to forgive yourself and others. You begin to take the steps to face your fears. You know that time IS on your side. You embrace change. You take inspired action to face the difficulties. You realize this is an opportunity for growth and self-awareness. You face the truth. You begin to move on, find joy in your life and have learned to let go.

The sea is calm and tranquil. You are gliding on top of the sea, smoothly sailing on to enjoy the brilliant sun and the bright blue skies. You know that you are capable and courageous no matter what difficulties or storms you may face in the future. You know that all is well and that life truly is great.
